2013-14: Had points in back-to-back games on Jan. 8,9th...recorded first career OHL powerplay point in 5-4 win at Peterborough on Jan. 9th...finished season going +5 with an assist in 7-4 win vs. Sudbury on Mar. 15th...2012-13: Named the Bulls' Scholastic Player of the Month in September...Picked up first assist of the season on Oct. 6th in 5-3 win vs. Ottawa...had 4 assists and was a +5 in the month of November...missed 5 games with a concussion from Jan. 24th-Feb. 3rd after being hit with a puck on the bench...finished season with 7 assists and a +10 rating in 61 games...recipient of the 2013 Jake Gilmour Award as voted by Bulls season ticket holders...led the team in blocked shots...tied for third with Oshawa's Tyler Biggs in the Eastern Conference Coaches Poll among shot blockers...recipient of the Bulls' Unsung Hero Award...2011-12: Named Bulls Scholastic Player of the Month in September...notched first assist of the season in 3-2 shootout win vs. Brampton on Oct. 15th...second in team blocked shots on the season with 108...2010-11: Made Bulls debut Sept. 25 at Kingston in a 3-0 loss...named one of Bulls' scholastic players of the month for Sept. 2010 along with Scott Simmonds...picked up first OHL point on an assist in Dec. 4, 4-1 loss to Ottawa...despite small stature, Bignell picked up four fighting majors on the season...2009-10: Attended Culver Military Academy in Culver, 38 games tallied 16 points and was Belleville's 5th round (83rd overall) selection.

Personal: Attended Grand River Collegiate Institute...enjoys golfing and fishing...favourite movie is Happy Gilmore...favourite hockey memory is his first OHL fight against Oshawa's Andy Andreoff...favourite team is the Montreal Canadiens...if he could meet anyone it would be Barack Obama...enjoys playing guitar and cites Chris Neil as his favourite NHL player...non-hockey related goal is to make the honour roll at school...nephew of former Bulls forward Todd Hawkins...father Greg played for Belleville from 1986-1990 and had three separate coaching stints in Kitchener, North Bay and Kingston...son of Greg and Denise Bignell, has two brothers, Jake and Luke.
