Welcome from the Belleville Bulls OHL Hockey Club
It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the Belleville Bulls prospects site. The Bulls are in the midst of celebrating our 27th season in the Ontario Hockey League including a trip to the OHL Championship on Memorial Cup. The 28th season, 2008-2009 is poised to be an exciting one for our team and the amazing fans that support us.
Clearly our drafting decisions are critical ones for our team and the decisions you make regarding your hockey development are equally important. As a member of the 20 team Ontario Hockey League, we recognize our responsibilities as part of the most successful hockey development league in the world. In Belleville we take this responsibility seriously. Over the past few years we have put together a first rate hockey operation with successful and experienced coaches who, in combination with top tier medical and equipment specialists, run a development program that is second to none.
The Belleville Bulls have a stellar reputation for on-ice success, having missed the playoffs only twice in 27 seasons. We are proud to have been part of the successful formation of many professional hockey players as well as many other Bulls' alumni who have achieved equally impressive careers and lives following their hockey experiences. To the Belleville Bulls, success is only partially measured by the on-ice performance. We are committed to providing an environment that allows Belleville Bulls draft choices to develop as young men and successful students, as well as elite hockey players.
The Belleville Bulls organization is not only community itself, but it is also part of an even larger community in the Quinte Region. The City of Belleville, also known as the "Friendly City" is a place where players enjoy playing in front of some of the most loyal and supportive fans in the province. The list of benefits of developing to the next level in hockey and life within this community are many. First and foremost, our players will find the support from the community substantial, both on and off the ice. Our city, located just a two hour drive East of Toronto, is prototypical of the quality of life found in many of the rural regions in our country but at the same time, is a modern city that offers all the amenities of a much larger centre. This quality of life will quickly become apparent in all aspects of the players' development, from the stability of the local billets to the quality of the local schools. These factors reflect the caring and support that can be expected in Belleville.
On behalf of our ownership group and entire hockey club, we look forward to welcoming you to Belleville and to the next step in your hockey and life development. |
