Four years removed from his time in Belleville, Keaton Turkiewicz is flourishing on the ice at the University of Western Ontario. One of the veterans on the always competitive Mustangs, Turkiewicz scored 20 times this season while adding 27 assists in 28 regular season games to win the OUA scoring title.
A native of Brantford, Turkiewicz came to the Bulls from Windsor in the summer of 2007 in exchange for Aaron Snow. The right winger played a big part in the Bulls' push to the 2008 Memorial Cup in Kitchener and had 23 goals and 18 assists during the season for Belleville.
This season, Turkiewicz had points in 23 of his 28 games, registering two hat-tricks and 14 multi-point outings.
Turkiewicz and the Mustangs are matched up against the Laurier Golden Hawks in round one of their playoff drive.
