Bulls Complete Trades with Peterborough and Sarnia

The Belleville Bulls completed two trades on Friday, acquiring eighteen year old forwards Brendan Taylor from the Peterborough Petes and Kyle Tront from the Sarnia Sting.  In return for Taylor, the Bulls send Peterborough their sixth round pick in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.  Belleville sent their fifth round pick in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection to Sarnia for Tront.

Taylor is entering his sophomore OHL season after spending the 2006-2007 campaign in Peterborough.  Taylor, a native of Oakville, Ontario scored 10 goals and added 15 assists for the Petes in 64 games last season.

Tront is entering his third OHL season after spending the previous two in Sarnia.  Originally a second round pick by the Sting, Tront scored four goals and added three assists in 33 games with Sarnia last season.  The Thunder Bay, Ontario native has six goals and 16 points in 79 career OHL games.

Both players are expected to be in the lineup Saturday night when the Bulls host the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors in exhibition play.
