Voting Begins for the Jake Gilmour Memorial Award

Voting has begun for the Jake Gilmour Memorial Award. The award is given out annually and is named in honour of popular Bulls forward Jake Gilmour who passed away in November, 2005.

Bulls’ fans vote on the award based on the player who they feel best demonstrates the qualities shown by Gilmour while he was a member of the Bulls. Those qualities are as follows, pride in the Belleville Bulls jersey, passion for the game, respect for teammates and opponents, and a mutual respect with the fans. Last season, Andrew Gibbons and Matt Beleskey shared the award.

2006-2007 winners Andrew Gibbons and Matt Beleskey are presented the Jake Gilmour Memorial Award by Rose Gilmour and Jeff Leavitt

This year, fans will have two ways to vote for the player they feel is most deserving of the award. Voting will be taking place in the Southeast corner of the Yardmen Arena during all Bulls home games until March 8. Fans can also fill out an online ballot by clicking the link below.  The winner of the award will be announced prior to the Bulls home game against the Oshawa Generals on Wednesday, March 12.
