Annual Bulls Hockey School Begins August 4

The Belleville Bulls will begin their eighth year of summer hockey camps on August 4th. This year, the Bulls are running eight distinctive camps over three weeks for players of all ages and skill levels.

Three different week-long tournament style day camps are being offered at the Novice, Atom, and Peewee levels. Each day camp includes power skating, skills sessions and a daily game on the ice. While off the ice, players will be given a chance to interact with Bulls players, participate in off-ice training, and classroom sessions with video from their previous game. All players’ meals will be taken care of while at the camp. These camps are specifically designed for boys and girls entering any level of Novice, Atom or Peewee for the 2008-2009 season.

Evening hockey camps will once again be offered for high level boys, and high level girls along with the adult fantasy camp. The high level boys and girls camps are designed to help players born 1993-1995 prepare for their upcoming hockey try-outs and include high tempo, skill developing practices with specialized training for forwards, defensemen and goaltenders along with a power skating component.

The adult fantasy camp is also back for a third year and gives participants the experience of what it’s like to be a Belleville Bull player for a week. The camp includes nightly practices and scrimmages as well as a social to end the week. Players will have their own personalized stall in the Bulls dressing room where they can leave their equipment for the week and will be treated to daily video highlights of the scrimmage from the previous night.

The half day goaltender camp returns under the supervision of former Bulls standout goalie Eric Tobia and is designed for goaltenders of any skill level tyke to midget. A tyke camp is being offered for boys and girls born in 2002 or 2003 who have some skating and/or hockey experience. The camp is designed to help the skill development of these players with on-ice interaction with the Bulls coaching staff and players.

The 2008 Belleville Bulls Hockey School has again been met with tremendous enthusiasm. There are still extremely limited spots available in many of the camps and those interested in registering can either visit the Bulls Box Office or call: 613-966-8338 ext.3894.
