Alumni Watch: Kevin Lalande Named ECHL Goaltender of the Week
Former Belleville Bulls goaltender Kevin Lalande was named the ECHL’s Goaltender of the Week for January 21-27. Lalande posted a 2-0 record along with a sparkling 0.50GAA and .982SV% for the Las Vegas Wranglers to earn the award.
Lalande is in his first year of professional hockey and has split the season between the Wranglers and the AHL’s Quad City Flames. In 12 games with Las Vegas, Lalande has an impressive 8-2-1-1 record along with a 1.49GAA and .946SV%. He has also recorded two shutouts for the conference leading Wranglers. Lalande also holds a 2-3-0-0 record in seven games with Quad City.

The Bulls all-time shutout leader played in Belleville from 2004-2007 and is ranks second in team history with 67 career regular season victories. Lalande was selected by the Calgary Flames in the fifth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and helped the Bulls reach the Eastern Conference Championship in his final OHL season.
In other ECHL news, Lalande’s former Bulls teammate Tyler Doig was called up to the AHL’s Toronto Marlies from Columbia Inferno on Wednesday. Doig has recorded seven goals and 29 points with the Inferno this season along with one point in two games with the Marlies. He also participated in the ECHL’s All-Star Game.
